This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, reach the Sheriff's Office or the issuing court directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Routing depends on what you actually need. In Washtenaw County the paths break down this way:
- Whether a warrant exists: start with the court that issued it, then call the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office main line and ask which office handles that specific warrant
- A warrant from a missed court date: contact the district court that set the case, since 14A-1, 14A-2, 14A-3, 14A-4, 14B, and the 15th each keep their own files
- Clearing or resolving an order: speak with a licensed Michigan attorney and the issuing court about a recall, a scheduled turn-in, or posting bond
- An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the issuing court controls the charge and the release conditions, while the Sheriff's Office and local police agencies serve the order
- A record of agency work: send a written public-records request to the police or Sheriff's office that handled the case, not to the court
Warrants held at the county level route through the Sheriff's Service Center at 2201 Hogback Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, by phone at 734-971-8400. The office did not publish a dedicated warrant-unit line or a public active-warrant search, so the main number is the way to reach the right staff member.
Courts keep their own service hours. The county lists its 14A counters as open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays except holidays, the 14B court publishes 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the 15th District Court clerk lists Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with Friday closing at 3:00 p.m. Call before you travel, because a warrant question that reaches the wrong counter costs a day.
